I was talking with a friend the other day and when I mentioned that I have been manifesting she sort of scoffed and shook her head.

“That stuff doesn’t really work, you know,” she said. “I tried it and I’m still broke.”

I nodded sympathetically and replied, “I can see how it would be disheartening to believe in something and then not have it happen.”

“Oh, I didn’t really believe in it,” she laughed, “I just saw others doing it so I thought I would too. If it works for them, why can’t it work for me?!”

Ahhh.

And that, my friends, is when and why manifestation doesn’t work.

You Have to Believe

Manifestation and the Law of Attraction respond to your thoughts. If you’re saying, “I don’t think this is going to work, but, hey, I want a million dollars.” Guess what? The universe is going to think, “Oh, she doesn’t want this to work. Alright.”

The Law of Attraction doesn’t distinguish between good and bad.

It doesn’t try to magically change your mind and make you think it’s going to work.

It just serves you back what you’re putting out there.

And if what you’re putting out there is “I don’t believe in any of this and it’s not going to work”, you’re going to get back “I don’t believe in any of this and it’s not going to work.”

If you want manifestation to work, you have to believe wholeheartedly that it does and you have to feel how good it’s going to feel when it does happen.

Why Manifestation Doesn’t Work for Some

Let’s be clear, manifestation works for everyone. You, me, the guy sitting next to you at the coffee shop, the kid running around the store wanting a new toy….everyone.

The reason why manifestation doesn’t work for some people is that they don’t really believe and are creating blocks that prevent the goodness from flowing into their lives.

Think of manifestation as a tractor-trailer full of hundreds that starts off in the next town over and is on its way to you. When there is no traffic, no delays, that truck is going to get to you quickly. You haven’t seen the truck, but you ordered it from the universe and by golly that truck is on its way. You know it is. You have complete faith that the truck will arrive and drop off what you ordered.

Unless you throw in some challenges.

Manifestation Roadblock Ahead

Maybe you decided that the truck shouldn’t come today because wow, that amount of money would be scary to have – you’ve never had that much so your mind is like, “Whoa! How would I even deal with that?! What if people want to steal my money once it gets here?! How will I keep myself and my family safe?!” So, you’re effectively calling the Universe and saying, “Slow that delivery down STAT!” And the truck creeps along at 10 miles an hour.

Or maybe you think that you have to be more worthy (you already are worthy, by the way), so you put potholes in the road that slow the truck down.

Or maybe your doubts and disbelief are so strong, so loud in your subconscious mind that you put up roadblocks and dispatch construction crews to close the road. I mean yeah, you want the money, but wow, you kind of really don’t because it could cure things. It could actually take away the obstacles and then you’d have no excuses for not taking action or changing the course of your life.

When you fear something, in this example the change that money could bring, you prevent it from happening as quickly as it could. Your mind throws walls up that your money truck has to navigate.

It’s like the GPS is constantly saying, “Rerouting” as it tries to deliver what you ordered.

Tough Love and Manifestation

The reason why manifestation doesn’t work for you is because of…well, you.

When you LET GO and trust that you are worthy, you are deserving, and the things waiting for you are abundant and infinite, manifestation works.

When you don’t believe and have doubts – even if they’re subconscious! – manifestation is still working, but, man, is it going to take a while to get to you.

Stop putting up roadblocks. Stop self-sabotaging.

Because, friend, YOU DESERVE TO LIVE THE ABUNDANT, AMAZING, JOY-FILLED LIFE YOU DESIRE. YOU DESERVE IT AND YOU ARE WORTHY.

I see it in you. Can you see it in yourself?
